Process
Practical Compliance delivered tailored silica risk assessments and control plans for contractors, reviewing equipment, cutting and grinding methods, and existing practices. Air monitoring was undertaken in partnership with an occupational hygienist using real-time testing devices, with SWMS and hazard control plans adjusted to align with the WA Silica Code of Practice.

Results
These measures reduced worker exposure to respirable crystalline silica below national standards and provided documented compliance evidence for regulators. The process also strengthened subcontractor safety culture through targeted training and enabled early identification of high-risk tasks, reducing the likelihood of breaches or penalties.
